Mafia 43. Struggle for Omega

Tonight, as always, Omega was restless. The unrest has only intensified lately, and even Aria could not contain it for long.

Something strange was happening in the lower districts. First, a varren attacked one of the passersby, then another was shot at with a sniper rifle, and to top it all off, an explosion occurred. Fortunately, there were no casualties. One of those nearby the explosion sincerely wondered how he had survived – he could only explain it by the intervention of higher powers.

Spear was seen in the company of Aria's mercenaries, who talked to him for a long time, mostly using their fists. Eventually, they let their victim go, threatening not to cross their path again.

An elcor was seen standing peacefully near the door of Naver Leengard's house.

A suspicious-looking batarian attacked Ment, who was peacefully going about his business, and beat him up so badly that he could barely get home. He had to postpone all his affairs urgently.

Neyra Drake, returning from somewhere, felt a gaze on her. Turning around, she saw an old krogan, who used to be the head of Omega. He looked at her intently again and disappeared from sight. Another krogan, not so friendly, came to Arandor. No matter how hard he tried to leave or get rid of the uninvited guest, nothing worked, and the poor fellow shivered with fear all night.

An asari justicar was interested in Lord Mortulus. It is unclear what brought such a terrible guest to Omega and why the station's inhabitants have not yet been killed in accordance with the Justicar Code. However, the asari might not be in a hurry. Lord Mortulus was found dead in one of the alleys. There were no injuries on his body – the blood on his claws turned out to be someone else's. A tuft of fabric with a cat drawn on it was found in his clenched jaw.

WisTrit was peacefully relaxing in "The Afterlife" when a man burst into the bar and opened fire with an assault rifle. Neither his rapid regeneration nor his natural agility helped WisTrit. The attacker was startled by the dying scream of the victim, mixed with threats and curses, and quickly ran away, tripping and accidentally dropping a datapad, on the screen of which was frozen the information: "kill 12 turians, 28 humans, and 69 batarians." Unfortunately, Ple-Sen was also hit by the shots. He did no harm to anyone; on the contrary, it was pleasant to spend free time with him. A quarian, secretly watching Ple-Sen, quickly got up and disappeared, glad that he had survived.
