When the sound of footsteps abruptly ceased, three figures familiar to the prisoners entered – people in rags covering their faces. The sound of the elven woman’s song, apparently, had no effect on them and did not attract their attention. As they moved through the corridor, they could not fail to notice the broken bars in Reynold’s cell. One of them hurried to open the cell door and ran inside, and Reynold, who was lying in wait with a piece of metal in his hands, attacked the unsuspecting man, while Hostor supported Inferno. Both men screamed in agony, and the giant, with a roar, burst into Reynold’s cell and slammed him against the wall. Thanks to his stony skin, he only lost consciousness. Next, they opened Redram’s cell and pulled him out. The stunned victim was thrown over the giant’s shoulder, and the fire mage was grabbed by the legs, with one hand gripping both of his shins.
One of the two jailers remained lying in Reynold’s cell, burned and with a fractured skull.
