Divine Journey

As soon as Reynold turned around, something blunt and heavy struck him on the back of the head. The battle mage collapsed to the ground, unconscious. After a while, he came to, hearing someone's voice – the voice of a healer, trying to bring him back to his senses – hey, buddy, how are you?
Looking around the tent, Reynold found two dead guards – one had his stomach ripped open, and the other had a bloody wound in his chest. General Catherine, lying sprawled on the table, also showed no signs of life, and blood slowly flowed from a cut on her throat.
