“Who is stronger?” – Evil versus Good: reports and summaries.

Adv (Dwarves, Helmar) defeated dmitrik (Humans, Vitia) 2-1-4 Spider. At the start, I had Ibba and Helmar, and I rescued Ingvar from prison. I spent the first week developing both, but I only found a stash on level 5. Helmar acquired logs and machines faster, so I made him the main hero, and since there weren't expected to be many shields, it made sense. With the Path of War, he leveled up quite quickly. On 1-3-5, I finished clearing the resource nodes, and then Vitia emerged from the portal leading from the treasure room. Vitia was level 22, and I was level 20, so there was no point in fighting. He had plate armor and ballista, so I paid 10k to buy my way out, luckily I had 25k. After that, I bought a resurrection and a portal and went to clear my treasure room. I got lucky with the artifacts; I found some, bought some, and ended up with a bow, quiver, +20 ring, +10 ring, Brotherhood of Machines ring, dwarven helmet, boots, and breastplate, dragon amulet, shield, and cloak. I even had to choose between a +20 ring and an Elven Tome; I chose the latter, as I already had a mass haste spell. On 2-1-3, I finished clearing the treasure room and used a portal to return to the city, which turned out to be very timely. On 2-1-4, Vitia came from the Global Order and positioned himself not far from the city. I passed the turn, but he didn't have any griffins or paladins with him. I left the city, attacked, and we fought in the field. We were both level 28, but Vitia had an advantage in combat stats due to his education. In the final battle, my mass evasion and the lack of mass dispel on Vitia's side were decisive. The priests and harpoons, combined with the Elven Tome and mass light, systematically decimated Vitia's human forces. The Divine Retribution was mitigated by the dwarven artifacts, and we won decisively. Although it could have gone the other way if my opponent had been luckier with leveling up and artifacts in the treasure room, and if he had had paladins and griffins... To be honest, the outcome was unexpected for me; I wasn't expecting to win, but I did everything I could. Thanks to Vitia for the interesting game!
