Pit for LM (red, Fortress, Wystan, Wystan) draw Magl (blue, Castle, Valeska, Valeska), 2sm4d(3), 143.
We took turns picking restarts, ended up without them.
– I open the lookout tower in front of the castle and realize I'm trapped. On the respawn there is one chest and 2 piles of gold, plus the same amount in the western part, blocked by archers. No external dwellings. Good thing there's at least something pleasant – both secondary skills are breakable on the first week (mummies for stones and swordsmen for mud), there are two beehives and a conservatory. I decided not to hit the shooters for now, heading to the mummies.
– upgrade the lizards (they weren't built, but 4 flies were brought, so on 111 I didn't set the flies, since there's nowhere and nothing to buy more than 4 heroes with), I beat the mummies easily. Behind them, 2 chests are found, but one of them contains an artifact. I take the secondary skill, the conservatory turns out to be minimum.
– the lookout tower near the barbs revealed another sparse respawn, we have another 2 chests and 3 piles of gold. There is an external dwelling of wyrms, but quite far away, I send Yanova there.
– Wystan visits +1 spell power and stops at the block. Yanova advances towards the external dwelling, I build a chain to Wystan.
– the external dwelling falls, quite easily, all gnolls are intact. Wystan passes onto the mud.
– I move along the road, see gloves, not bad. Some gold lying around, which is also pleasing.
– I light up the lookout tower, see a considerable part of the opponent's respawn. It's just as empty there as at mine ). And on my side, I found a beehive behind the dendroids. I was only able to build 1,2,3,6 in the stronghold in the capital, the wyrms' at the barbs, and the portal with ransom in the Dungeon.
– I captured the gloves, visited +1 to magic.
– somehow bought the army, I beat the dendroids, there are 46 of them with a growth stack, the terrain helped, but due to bad morale in the first round I had to surrender the ballista. From the beehive I got 6 wyverns, losing 20 gnolls.
– took a crypt somewhere deep in the respawn, Wystan runs to the beehive for scorpicores. We paused here.
– I get 6 wyverns, visit the stables, break into the barb.
– with Brissa I get another 6 wyverns, then – a mini-naga-bank, Wystan buys a spell book, takes an angel, captures the necklace +3+3 to magic and doubles his mana.
– I break into the treasury, where I immediately grab the Cape of Speed.
– sphere of water, sword +6, greaves +1+1 to magic, Pandora's Box for 10k gold, Orrin from the prison. Nothing much was built, only the stronghold in the barb.
– Pandora's Box for 10k experience behind the storms.
– external dwelling of faerie dragons.
– Dragon Utopia minimum for Titan's Gladius.
– Pandora's Box for all water with basic wisdom, I break into the dungeon, double my mana, run to the second Dragon Utopia.
– arrived.
– two-level with the book of air – well, at least something, I run to attack.
– upgrade the wyverns, I sit in the opponent's capital.
– I wait there for troop reinforcements, I decide not to attack Valeska yet, even though she is within range.
– I bring everything up and attack. I lose the battle due to a horrendously noobish mistake, and with it the entire game, since I left no money for ransom.
Naturally, I should have immediately flown in and taken out the shooters, sure some of mine would have been killed, but it wouldn't have been critical. As it was, the shooters got behind cover and shot everyone down. And the red orb prevented me from casting anything. Also, I could have locked Valeska in the castle and she would have had to come out and take the fight in the open field anyway (there was a single-hex exit there).
However, the opponent broke the rules by using the external market, so we will replay.
It's really painful to give away a victory out of thin air...
