I wouldn't take it. It will instantly dispel all blinding spells and similar buffs. Sometimes it's beneficial to leave a couple of barely alive archers on the enemy side, who won't cause much damage, but will allow you to heal your units. Just make sure to skip a few turns. And then BAM! They die from your siege master. The battle is over, the corpses remain... No, it's better to play in a way that allows you to control the situation.
Well, I don't know... You could end up in a situation where you have to feed the enemy with buffs?;) There's also the time stop spell. Won't the siege master dispel that? And then, with the siege master, the enemy will be destroyed even faster? And there will be no need to heal... I, honestly, haven't used the siege master even once:)
