Setting Information
Shortly before reaching adolescence, Fang was given over to the care of the Order of Monks of the Celestial Empire by his not-so-poor parents. During his training, the young man embraced the humanistic values of his mentors, but the overly strict rules irritated him. Sometimes, young Fang allowed himself a certain degree of freethinking, but his aptitude for healing arts meant that his minor pranks were overlooked. Overall, the young man was not against dedicating his life to the Order: providing selfless help to the wounded and seriously ill, but in the end, he decided to leave its ranks. The reason was that the monks did not recognize any material values. The Order's charter forbade members from owning anything beyond what was necessary for existence and successful activity. But Fang thought differently. "Money in itself cannot be something bad," he thought. "It all depends on how it is used." After leaving the Order, Fang decided to offer his services to a group of heroes preparing to explore the ancient ruins of a city in search of treasure. A good healer is always useful, so the young man was accepted into the team.
Fang's main character traits are generosity, curiosity, and a love of nature. The young man possesses the composure of a surgeon and does not lose his self-control even when faced with the most terrible wounds. Fang respects rules, but decides for himself when to obey them and when to give free rein to rebellion. In addition, he is capable of planning and has already roughly compiled a list of what he will acquire from his share of the loot. By the way, despite his generosity, this guy never refuses his due when it does not harm another person.
Fang does not carry weapons. In the Order, he was taught the basics of self-defense using martial arts. His clothes also have no defensive function. Fang is dressed in clothes that combine ceremonial-symbolic traditional meaning and comfort. In his healing activities, Fang uses knowledge of anatomy and physiology, traditional medicines, and magical abilities. However, he does not disdain the modern achievements of Selentite pharmaceuticals. Although the Order does not recognize this, Fang himself believes that one must keep up with the times, and if these newfangled pills and vaccines can save lives, then they should be used, regardless of old prejudices.
