Fantasy vs. Science Fiction

Science fiction is life. What was science fiction 20 years ago is now a common occurrence. And fantasy, at best, is amusing, at worst, it's just :smile18:.

In short, when demons run around the room while you're hungover, that's :smile18:, but when green little men (probably aliens) appear, that's life.
But seriously, it all depends on the author (writer, screenwriter). Sometimes you come across works that you can't put down, and sometimes they're just utter nonsense. These kinds of writers try to use templates (this was mentioned somewhere at the beginning of the topic) instead of coming up with something of their own, something new and original – that's why interest in them fades. Although, if there's talent, you can turn even a template-based work into a masterpiece.
