The template is well balanced, for a quick game - just what is needed. The absence of treasure does not create random strong blocks on roads, the small number of obelisks and the presence of about 6 crypts was pleasing. On my side there were two towns - my native one and a swamp one, and two dwellings - my native one and an elemental one, the distances between all of them are roughly the same - about one turn. The GO between us is 12 champions on the road or 38 crusaders cross-country, quite convenient - someone at the start of the second week will surely breach it. Quite a lot of gold was thrown in.
In the first 4 days I took my two towns and the elemental dwelling, where I decided to build the second level of magic. I did not go for building angels, I considered it too costly. Before the GO I checked the Griffin Conservatory (2-4), there are no more conservatories or hives anywhere. I am preparing to take it, gathering spearmen and leveling Adelaide's earth magic; on 117 she was 400 experience short of Slow, I had to run around looking for work to grow. I ran around too much, on 121 blue Solmyr takes the GO and three scouts fight, the capital and the Castle town fall. On 122 Adelaide finally takes the Griffin Conservatory (3), spending 10 griffins, 50 spearmen, 50 gnolls, and 4 wyverns out of 6. Next turn, Luna pounces on Adelaide with 5 phoenixes. An interesting finale turned out! Thanks to Slow and maneuvers with angels, the reds win the battle and 2 angels survive. On 124 Adelaide takes the blues' capital.
