Does the Battle Mage only buff themselves and fight with regular weapons? Can they cast a fireball, even a small one? Can they buff other units? Can they enchant their own weapons?

Battle Mages channel magical energy through their bodies to enhance their own abilities, just as they imbue magical energy into objects they touch (like weapons).

For those who chose factions with names that have real-world counterparts, I would suggest looking for relevant articles. In general, this isn't a very strict rule, and you can essentially choose any name you want, but it will stand out from the normal flow of names, and any NPC will question the mental state of the parents of such a character.
