I just remembered something else. Once, Gothic wouldn't launch when Chrome was running, but it worked fine when Chrome was closed. Now I've closed Chrome, and Heroes still won't launch. And I've already tried launching it like this.

Chrome prevents non-licensed versions of games from launching.
