I don't understand why they decided he was Mafia. If he were Mafia, he definitely wouldn't pretend to be a Town member. It makes sense that he's pretending to be a Cop. Maybe he thought he wouldn't be killed on the first day because he's useful.

Well, you know... IT'S JUST TOXIC! It's hard to figure him out, he's a mystery and all that. I thought the only logical explanation was that he wants to be seen as a Town member who's useful to the city until the end of the game, so he shouldn't be executed first (or second, etc.).
