Oh, and I forgot to mention that I don't like the current state of elves either. High elves, forest elves, dark elves, snow elves, water elves, winged elves (there are such in D&D), desert elves, underground elves, night elves, blood elves, moon elves, golden elves, green elves, wild elves, cursed elves, fire elves, parallel-plane elves, Jewish-alien elves, gaseous elves, circus-dwarf elves, one-nostril elves. The list can go on forever. Just like with dragons, you take any adjective, add "elf," and a new race is ready! Profit!
