The tavern indeed turned out to be quiet. Only a few patrons—elves—were sitting in the small general hall. The owner of the tavern was a dryad (who else?), who happily rented us rooms for the night—apparently, visitors needing lodging didn't stop by her tavern very often. In one of the rooms, we laid the still-unconscious Verdan on the bed. - Well, I can keep watch over our friend who is prone to escaping, and you can eat in the meantime, if you want, of course,- I suggested.
