Once, I watched a video where one of the players (I think he doesn't really like Archers) cleared two Strongholds on the second day in Heroes of Might and Magic. And how useful would Archers be against fifty Vivs at that stage?)))))

Where is the video from? Maybe he started with Shaktis or Galadra.
And yes, it would be useful, especially with tactics. And if there are practically no other troops, there's no other option.
And in general, these guys are so arrogant... they don't respect the land, or tactics, or offense-fire-magic... except they reluctantly take logistics if they have to.%)
