You're right, but it's important that they fit into the world of Heroes. I've seen ideas for technogenic cities and completely wild concepts regarding langiers. Moreover, if you take pseudo-Egyptian or any other mythology, you need to preserve the spirit not only in the units but in everything else as well, of course without blindly copying the original. I am in favor of pure fantasy like Rampart and Fortress being diluted with pseudo-cultures.

I completely agree. Back in my first days visiting the forum, I looked at the tech race from new projects — didn't like it at all! Some kind of cyborgs, not creatures! That is why fantasy and science fiction must be kept separate!:)
