...Pikemen, like reckless units against vampires...Arbalests and Squires are just meat.
Pikemen with their reckless ability are a double-edged sword. They will deal good damage only when there are many of them. But they are not suitable for removing the reckless ability or distracting (redirecting) from archers – they simply won't react to their reckless ability. They are quite suitable for protecting other units from archers (as meat), but due to their long spear, it is difficult for them to strike in melee combat without moving – they shift and expose those they are protecting. As a result, they become the second contender for the role of meat after squires. Arbalests – if they are not used as ranged attackers, it is better not to carry them around the map at all – as meat, they are worse than squires, but tastier for vampires.

How will champions cope with devils if they can be easily left without the charge ability?
A champion without the charge ability is a problem; they will be useless against a devil. Against creatures with Charge Defense, they should be able to pass.
