HoMM3 HD is a mod (add-on) for the game Heroes of Might and Magic 3.

I'm having trouble launching the game on Windows 7 x64 sp1. I've tested it on beta 6 and 2.98f. Regardless of all the settings in the ini file (I took the time to check), the game doesn't launch. In beta 6, the error message is: Critical Error. HD_CRASH_INFO.txt was generated. In 2.98, it just silently crashes. That is, I click the Launch button, and it ends. It crashes the same way on Heroes.exe and h3hota.exe. The Heroes game is the Russian version of SoD; I downloaded it from this link: http://forum.df2.ru/index.php?showtopic=26463. Compatibility mode with Windows 98/XP doesn't help. The vanilla Heroes3.exe launches and works perfectly. It works in a virtual machine with Windows XP SP3. It also works in Windows XP Mode. The same files, copied to another computer with the same OS, work. The report is attached.
