You can develop the weapons of a dynasty by exploiting a method suggested by Supric, or by assembling a huge army in Hotseat mode and pitting them against each other.
Something in Hotseat mode doesn't seem to work when it comes to army clashes. I pitted two heroes against each other, each with 6000 units, but the weapons didn't level up even a single point. Neither for the first hero, nor for the second. Maybe patch 1.2.1 fixed this – I don't know, but the fact is that weapons in Hotseat only level up when fighting neutral monsters. Well, maybe also against computer-controlled heroes (I haven't played against them, so I don't know).
Guys, can you tell me where to find staves? I already have five swords, but only two staves, and those were bought -_-
