About rap: as a style, I'm neutral toward it. But if you take any of the domestic performers—there are no words, only swear words. And they actually consider this art? I'd rather buy a rope and shoot myself with it than start singing something like that. It's a disgrace! The rhymes are on the level of: two rubles-three rubles, brother-second cousin. This isn't music, not poetry, it's not even a money-maker. It's the belch of a senile old man!
As for music, I preferred classics for a while (around age 14), then moved on to Aquarium and Russian rock in general. Then there was a period of obsession with Aria (now I like Master, Legion, Mavrik, but not Aria or Kipelov). Later I switched to punk, more specifically social rock, à la Televizor, GrOb, Yanka. Now I try to listen to exactly that. But at work they blast rap and chanson; I'm ready to howl!!!!!
About Restoration: I hope there will be a continuation. I just need to figure out the timing. After my exams, I want to put together my fourth collection, and then we'll see—maybe I'll get around to Restoration. I don't want to abandon this idea.
