It was mentioned somewhere before, but I'll add that the "fight to the last" skill is very useful for hit-and-run tactics. I took 7 stacks of 2 units each, went invisible, and attacked. When the invisibility ended, a couple of stacks remained, and they still took a long time to kill, so I attacked again. The only problem is that it's difficult to acquire this skill.
