Started in the underground, but it's not that bad for a random map, so I'm playing. There's enough gold and resources for a steady build-up; I'm trying to "necromance" with Vokial and Septienna. In the middle of the week, I find a whole lot of peasant dwellings and a couple of hobbit dwellings – there's no question of conquering the map, the main task is to collect as many dwellings as possible and bring them home. At the end of the week, Galthran arrives, I buy him, and I wait for the "skeletons" to arrive so I can break through the guard post and finally leave the starting area. The result of the week is horses in the fort (apparently).
At the beginning of the second week, Galthran takes a level 2 guard post (400+ skeletons), then I break through to one of the central towns (it turned out to be a Necropolis + a dwelling with horses nearby). While Galthran is busy with nagas and other nonsense, Vidomina breaks free from the shackles (it will be useful). Towards the end of the second week, contact is established in another central zone (as it turned out later – a Necropolis + 2 dwellings with horses). Galthran already has the shackles, there's haste, but I didn't have time to explore the air, and there's Charna – she's demonizing and necromancing. The opponent scouted me (of course – Deemer + Fiona), but ran away to the treasury.
In the third week, I was doing something unclear – I took a secondary Necropolis from the opponent, but Galthran went into a dead-end treasury, where, not finding anything particularly interesting, he hung around for a couple of turns. I'm steadily moving towards the opponent (many secondary towns have the "wave of death" spell + Septienna and Vidomina have advanced earth magic), one of the scouts finds a utopia in the zone from which the red faction came, and nearby there's also a guard post visible from my starting area. Galthran immediately runs there, and rather riskily speeds up (I'm relying on scouting the air). 14 horses and under 700 skeletons send the dragons to the afterlife, and Galthran gets a +4 all shield and a 5th level hat. Perfect. I break through with Galthran for mana, and with Moner I take another level 2 guard post. The opponent tries to kill my scout, but in an epic battle, luck decides the outcome in favor of the flag ). I scout part of the troops (a couple of ifrits, a golem, and pits) on Marius, who is blocking access to the overview. I bring up Septienna – I need to capture the overview, and I assume the main forces of the red faction are fighting with the computer-controlled factions. Marius buys off my scout with his troops, I open the overview and see a long road to Inferno.
A couple of turns later, the opponent makes a very ill-considered move (Charna speeds up on angels + a treasure nearby). I send a death dealer to him. Galthran 11-11 (4 angels, 18 archers, 700+ skeletons, 20+ horses, miscellaneous), I think he would have killed Charna and all her troops (although the stats are higher there), the main thing is the shackles.
P.S. The map generator was certainly strange.
Thanks for the game!
