Unicorns are quite mediocre in terms of their stats; only their improved HP is worth mentioning.

But who is stronger than them at their level then? Nagas and Death Knights don't count; they are the strongest at their level. Cyclops may be strong, but if you counter them, their catapults become useless. Scorpians – there's nothing to compare them to! Viv-monarchs – there are many of them, they are a good offensive stack, but only if you gather a huge number of them from the hives. Efreet Sultans – they are strong; for me, Efreet and Unique creatures are equally strong. Magical Elves – in my opinion, they are one of the best at their level due to their abilities (Hydra attack and magic immunity), but in general, Unique creatures are stronger. Champs – this is the culmination; on the one hand, increased damage due to the buff, and on the other hand, blind, so they are equal. I think that's all, if we don't count neutral creatures.

Well, Pegasi can still be useful for blocking archers, who are dangerous to elves.
