In my opinion, how can Necropolis be better balanced?
I don't really like that online play has so many restrictions, especially regarding Necromancers, but I also don't like mods that introduce a lot of unnecessary changes in my opinion. I had an idea on how to tone down Necromancy without making major changes to the gameplay.
As you know, Necromancers mainly raise skeletons by defeating hordes of weak creatures, which the map generator places in abundance on random maps. So, maybe we could simply change the algorithm for placing guards so that instead of 1-4 level monsters, 4-5 level monsters are placed, but in smaller quantities, so that the difficulty of defeating them doesn't change, but the number of skeletons raised significantly decreases. And for players, this would look less alien than, for example, simply reducing the percentage of skeletons raised. Necromancy would remain a useful skill, and you could still raise a decent number of skeletons in Imp towns and Dwarf towns. What do you think of the idea?
