Which new units did you like in World of Xeen?

At first glance, the most powerful unit seems to be the archangel. But this is only if we consider raw strength; otherwise, diamond dragons and antichrists have good chances due to paralysis, and spectral horrors due to their monstrous damage. Thunder lords and dark dragons, although they usually lose to the aforementioned units, compensate with ranged attacks (and lightning/fear), so in an army composition, they are at least as good. Well, the nightmare hydra is indeed weak, but it has other tasks: eliminating the weakest, not the strongest. In addition, in battles with large numbers, the value of the resurrecting birds increases sharply – due to damage reflection, and often underestimated skeletal dragons – due to self-resurrection and aging (which works almost like a super ability for genies in the second part; it "halves" the unit!).
