Which Hero from Heroes of Might and Magic III is the best?

Since my favorite city is Dungeon, I prefer Mutare. By the way, in the editor, among the hero portraits, there are some that I've never seen before... for example, a man on a green background with a crown, some bald old man like a mage, a skeleton in a brown robe. Are they used anywhere?
