Don't judge based on the first game. First impressions really do heavily influence the choice of what to play or not. Including various VTs, different templates, and other "new things." If someone's first game on something new doesn't click, that's it, they think it's garbage and not for them.

I myself lost my first game on it :D but I couldn't play at all due to blocks, with 3 heroes :D and by the time I realized it, it was too late :D But if you think about it, Heroes isn't just about 1-6 in Citadel/Castle with 500 income :D having to worry about income too is a good thing, imo.

Although if you manage to take down the first hive 2, things would have gone fine afterwards, given their numbers. Anyway, for me it's definitely a better template than sm-ka, I just don't have enough practice on it.

And as for all those champions of space, the universe—they're champions precisely to win, unlike us mere mortals :D
