There are many players on the forum (and I am one of them) who would find it very inconvenient to play with a certain group of people on the same team. And, conversely, some people would like to play on a team with familiar (including real-life) players/friends.

All games, both single and paired, are components of one team battle.

I don't see any team play in single games at all. Thoughts like "X will play against Y because Y will use the Z build" don't count."

The tournament will become more interesting due to a larger number of participants.

The interest will increase due to a larger number of teams, not participants in general.
