No. You need to read guides from people who play against other people.... and only then... When I play against the computer, the creative part of my brain shuts off - I just study the algorithm of its actions (and it's the same on any map) and build a system of countermeasures :)
It's not the same with people. The only thing is clearing neutral creatures. But effective methods are learned much faster through collective discussion or directly in online play.

Spot on. I'll just add that you shouldn't be afraid of defeats, which are inevitable "at the beginning."
And the computer will never teach you a non-standard move; it's only filled with a standard set of solutions.
A simple example: I've never seen the computer use the "spirit" passive ability of elementals, and it's one of the most useful, in my opinion, in Heroes 6.
