Opponent picked blue. We both took 111 and went. It was a brutal game!
Roads were average. The Castle barely fit on the respawn, but there’s an external dwelling of archers and Val brought 3 stacks, plus the guards for secondary heroes were convenient – I decided to push through, maybe it’d be more interesting there.
I started with the swamp (for 20+ Griffins), since 10+ Pegasi were still intimidating, and there happened to be 50+ Nomads (as it turned out, it was a block in the middle of the passage behind 2 chests, 2 piles of resources, and a Refugee Camp) – left that for later.
The swamp respawn turned out to be not much bigger than the home one, but there was gold scattered around and the Pre-Minotaur-like structure allowed me, gritting my teeth, to fit Cavalry in the Citadel...
The second week started with a severe financial crisis. The tempo dropped to zero, because Val spent 2 days in the swamp circling around a Pre-Max-Gnome-like structure waiting for supplies. After the Dwarves generously gave 7.5K gold (with no losses), things improved. Val split back home, bought up, and started breaking through the Pegasi first, then the Nomads. Behind the Nomads, a block of 50+ Lizardmen guarding a secondary Dungeon entrance opened up. While I was figuring out how to break them, Solmyr showed up, wiped the guard, after which Melody sent Val (on the speed artifact) to the tavern :eek: … Figuring that against a mage the stats were favorable, Fiona with the mighty force quickly explained to Melody where to go, and then Solmyr got some too :smile25: . Then the fun began: Solmyr came back with Mana (who would’ve doubted it), smoked Fiona and Val out of the Dungeon (since after the talk with Solmyr there was little meat left, and I foolishly left the Cavalry at the mine when I was rushing Val :smile22: . Now instead of ambushing Solmyr, I had to save the Cavalry and run). Then Solmyr started doing god knows what… Apparently the sight of sparkling hooves of fleeing horses stirred the mage’s blood, he gave chase, was sent to the tavern, came back again, and was caught in the open field with new meat.
