Which Hero from Heroes of Might and Magic III is the best?

I vote for Gem. Not only was she often my main hero in the second part, but her enhanced first aid skill saved the lives of my dragons more than once. In In the Wake of Gods, the skill allows you to resurrect your fighters after a battle, and Gem's specialization enhances the effect.
