There was only one road from the city, and it led to the Guardian Outpost, blocking access to the secondary town. I don't like taking risks unless it's absolutely necessary, and I also noticed a hidden Manticores' Lair and a few Crypts. In the first week, I had Manticores in the Citadel and also captured an external dwelling. I also scouted out two more hidden Manticores' Lairs. In the second week, I took them over and built a Castle. My opponent already had several cities, but I wasn't in a hurry – time was on my side. I was short on money, so I sold a lot of resources and built a Capitol on day 3. I slowly made my way to the edge of my territory and emerged onto the grass, where I immediately spotted my opponent's scout. I decided not to attack with Tazar right away to avoid taking unnecessary risks, even though I was eager to. I waited a couple of days, bought all the Manticores (35 in total), and then boldly moved towards my opponent's secondary town. He attacked me immediately through a portal. Vidomina didn't stand a chance – 3 attack and 0 defense against Tazar's 7 attack and 13 defense. Plus, I had a lot of Manticores. My opponent was relying on the "Wave of Death" spell, but I miraculously had an amulet : )
I got lucky with the setup.
Thanks for the game!
