There are clearly more than 9 players in the Russian-speaking community who play Pith (and for the Homunculus, the term "luckier" is more appropriate). There is no need to even discuss the strength of Yavdet's game. The point is that these strongest (or luckiest) players will still not be able to win everything, and someone will be left out.
