Walkthrough tips, Discussion of Campaigns [Heroes 5]

Started a campaign as Necropolis. Ugh, what a stupid mission. The red-haired guy just stands there, not moving, what do I need to do with him? I've replayed it twice, and at first, he seems to run around somewhere, but as soon as I move a little higher up, he immediately goes to the shore and stands there, showing no emotion. Version 1.3 from the Gold Edition, I can't download the latest patch for technical reasons. What should I do?
