Is it possible to recruit neutral creatures, like mummies, into your army in any of the maps?

In the 5th mission of Faidaen's campaign in the original game, you can recruit 5 Phoenixes through a quest. Wolves can be recruited in the 4th mission of the "Tribes of the East" Orcish campaign. Elementals can be added to your army by Zehir in the very last mission of "Tribes of the East". Perhaps I've forgotten something. You cannot recruit Phoenixes in campaign maps; this is only possible with a mod on some other maps.
