I'm surprised by the Mafia's move. It's obvious that if Arandor isn't on their team, he's a Town role, and blocking him knowing this seems kind of pointless. What could it have possibly achieved?

In my opinion, the Mafia just messed up. Remember, at the end of the day, I wrote about a blocking scenario where we wouldn't find out Arandor's real role, but I didn't mention the Dogs, and they didn't pay attention and used it.
