Could you defeat them on a plain terrain?

I think that if there were about 50-55 of them, which is what I was preparing for, I could defeat them even in an open field.

Yes. Each cell has its own template. That is, even on different maps, the same coordinates will have the same terrain. This way, I won one game in a ranked tournament by successfully adapting the terrain to my advantage and teleporting archers into a closed-off area.
