It reminds me of a comic that mocked the fact that there wouldn't be Gremlins in "Heroes 6". Well, maybe it was only about the original game. Mages live in the desert in Ashan. Ice Giants - :smile26:. And Titans are not dragons - why wouldn't they fit? Gargoyles could indeed be used to refresh the Faction.

Possible Forest Elves (a union of Nature, not the mess from Heroes 5!). There are 2 development branches - Elves or Elementals.

No, it's more like the "mess from Heroes 5", because the logical placement of Ashan's creatures hasn't been cancelled. Elementals don't really fit with the Elves, and neither do Phoenixes. I don't remember any creatures from "Heroes 3" and "Heroes 4" being brought back, no matter how much you might want it, so there shouldn't be giant insects either. Putting an Ent in the core roster would also be great, as it is a prime candidate for a champion.

Again, the "zoo" from "Heroes 3" and "Heroes 4" hasn't been brought back yet. Mages didn't create Basilisks or Gloom Stalkers. So...
