On the first map I beat the Conflux at the computer; at home I built birds with 2 markets; I was in a tight spot money-wise — only 2 Nix Hives on the entire respawn, and those in different corners. On the second map I picked up Boots of Speed, losing the bird and 11 air elementals on Arch Mages to a scout hero, took a couple of Dragon Fly Hives, a Gnoll Hut, a couple of Demoniac Huts. Home castle; in the secondary town, Berserkers in the Citadel; skeletons were nearly 300. Maybe it was a mistake to double build when I had no cash. Then I lost 75 skeletons to wood, fought terribly, and I also fumbled with artifacts. In short, by turn 134 Clavius came to me with an army advantage; I tried to run with Boots of Speed and the Expedition Logbook, but he caught up. And I forgot to put on the Cloak of Velocity +2 before the final battle — maybe I could have put up more of a fight. Thanks for the game.
