You asked how one could try to figure out who the Mafia members are. I'm not very good at that (although it might help), but I had an idea about how the townspeople could cooperate a bit. And I think it partially worked. You yourself sometimes resort to certain tricks, gathering information about possible roles and trying to mislead the right people if there's a reason to do so.
