Who has the archer stack right now?

I usually employ this tactic.

I leave archers in the garrison whenever possible.

is that the right level? What's wrong with archers?

And what's the difference anyway? They're symmetrical.

archers? enemies? -- there should be 1-2 stacks of melee units as cover, and to the left of them, single units to draw fire and spread them out.
