It’s good that I saved the game separately before the main battles, otherwise I might not be able to replay it.

In principle, if you follow the rules and save AT LEAST one save at the end of each day, then in order to get a save before any of the battles, it is not necessary to replay everything :) But personally, I have dozens of saves for each day, which I periodically move from the game's chronos folder to a separate folder, where I already filter the saves, deleting unnecessary ones and sorting them by week or by day. In this case, there will be less hassle in case of a possible check or if you have to cross-reference the description :)
At a minimum, it is still better to have two saves for the day - the beginning of the day and the end of the day. Because in the interval between the end of the day and the beginning of the next day (namely, during the turn transition), the ways of the computer players are inscrutable :) They can significantly change the direction of their movement, so without the specified saves, the judge may have difficulties during the check. And no one needs that :)
