Please specify which defenses need to be leveled up for the mage. Obviously, it depends on the opponent's specialization. In the game, it seemed to me that magic doesn't have as much impact on the outcome in this part. So, the mage needs defense so that your troops can last longer and not be wiped out immediately. The main parameter becomes INITIATIVE. And whoever goes first, as they say, "wins."
