The previous twenty years in the Russian Empire were some of the best years in the entire history of Russia. The political system that emerged after 1905 and the political system at that time only inspires admiration in me. Just think: in the early years of the Duma's existence, there was a shortage of officials in Russia! There was a shortage of officials; their number was noticeably less than considered necessary for the normal functioning of parliament. And then... the mood turned bad, and revolutionaries (both communists and democrats, they all tried) destroyed the country. They arranged a massacre for the sake of high ideals. As they say, they wanted the best, but it turned out as always.
