Necromancers, as I understand it, become so for various reasons. I have an acquaintance – a mage (a real one, although his spells don't affect me). He only plays as Necropolis, and God knows why. As for me, I took a long path to becoming a Necromancer, going through the Conflux, Tower, and Dungeon. And all I lack in this life is confidence in tomorrow.
