Haven – “Something’s afoot” [Campaign 3 – Mission 1]

The most challenging part is at the beginning when neighbors from the south and east attack simultaneously...

I've read in many posts that enemies attack from there and there. Why doesn't anyone attack me? I'm playing on Hard difficulty and have completed the first 4 missions, in addition to the prologue. I go around, kill everyone in order, and no one attacks me from the south, north, east, or even the west. True, I always fight without losses (soon I'll get an achievement for 1000 battles without losses and will be "untouchable":D). Maybe because of this, the game considers my armies strong and "thinks": "forget it, it's not worth fighting him," what do you think?
