Results of the "Racial Issue" contest.
More than six hundred entries were submitted to our email addresses. Dozens of original ideas and bold solutions. Hundreds of sketches and a lengthy discussion thread on the forum of the official Nival Interactive website. Yes, we expected something like this, but not on such a scale.
Choosing the winners turned out to be incredibly difficult. The jury, which included the game designers of Heroes of Might and Magic V, had to read and study several thousand pages, and then spend a long time deciding who was the best. We were often asked: "What criteria will you use to evaluate the entries?". In our opinion, the most reasonable criteria are the originality of the idea and the coherence of the work.
We have three winners. First place goes to ... (I don't know if these people would want me to mention their names?) (the Solari race). His work contained many unusual and interesting ideas, some of which could perhaps be developed further. The game designers especially liked the penitent succubi. (Name) receives a flag with the emblem of the race he created and a handheld computer.
Second place goes to peep... (the Glacier race). The work is very neat; there are several interesting racial features. (Name) receives a flag with the Heroes of Might and Magic V logo and a mobile phone.
Third place goes to peep again... (the Elestion race). The idea is good, but the somewhat mundane execution prevented it from taking a higher place, according to the game designers. However, despite this, (name) still receives an excellent gaming steering wheel.
You can see the winners' works on our DVD*, and now we can say with a clear conscience: "We received a worthy 'Heroic' response to our 'Racial Issue'!"
And that's it. There's nothing more. I would like to provide at least some link, but this is all there is:)
