“Who is stronger?” – Evil versus Good: reports and summaries.

Bolivar (Dwarves, Erling) won against Kontr (Demons, Jeza), M3, end of the 2nd month, 2nd turn. What can I say, the plan was to drag it out as long as possible. The light faction was nerfed too much in the tournament rules. Oh well, I chose it myself. In the end, the demon arrived on the 4th week and I encountered him in an adjacent zone. The demon had levels 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 troops, all upgraded. They were annoying, but there weren't many of them – about 60, he must have lost some in previous battles. The rest were almost at their maximum. The dwarf had levels 1, 2, 3, 5, and 7, with only the elders upgraded. Also at maximum strength. In terms of tavern units, the demon was stronger, but there was nothing to be done, so I attacked. As a result, the demon fled with 1 Javelin Thrower, 1 Imp, and 1 Succubus. I was left with about 17 Elders, fifty Pikemen, and 20 Warriors. Things started to look better. However, to wage these cockroach wars, I had to buy a lot of junk and give it to the necessary heroes; they leveled up a bit – otherwise, I wouldn't have been able to defeat the demon's upgraded cockroaches. Also, my pace was slower – the demon, with the Path of War skill, continued to clear paths, while I didn't risk running along the path he had cleared towards his castle – I decided that I would only waste time. I leveled up to level 20, took a teleport in the city, and started wandering around. Eventually, I came to the demon's city from the other side, hoping to disrupt his pace. It worked – Jeza was forced to teleport back to her city. I didn't fight Jeza – it was impossible in terms of strength at that moment. I teleported home, realized where the treasure was, and went there. The demon, in turn, also went to the treasure, but to the second one. I entered the treasure, and saw that it was the one from which I had returned the demon when I came to his city – the Tree of Knowledge was unguarded. But there were still interesting artifacts – the Staff of the Underworld and the Tome of Chaos – in the city, there was only Earth Shock, and there was nowhere to learn Armageddon. I spent 14 Yggdrasil on these two artifacts. Well, then Jeza came to my city. I teleported home (although with the demon's Death Stride, it wasn't a great option for me, but at least it gave me an extra stack of Warriors). My opponent let me perform the ritual, so Erling's magic skill was around 40. In the city battle, I decided to eliminate the Temptresses at once, so I wouldn't have to worry about them anymore. The rest of the troops looked for fire resistance runes to cast Armageddon, and half of the stacks found such a rune. And then the connection was lost. We decided to finish the game later, but Kontr wrote that he wouldn't be able to finish it in the near future, and he conceded, as he estimated his chances at 10%. I almost forgot – Inga arrived in the middle of the game, leveled up to around level 16, and learned everything except Resurrection. Thank you for the game. It was interesting and educational for me. P.S. I actually thought the demon had a much better chance. Although Erling had skillful magic with Frost Nova, and he could eliminate a stack of demons in 1-2 casts, Death Stride is still a powerful ability. Plus, I got the Elder skill, but Jeza couldn't use it – apparently, if a summoned stack also uses a rune in the tournament rules, it skips its turn. Probably a bug.
