I actually liked it. It just depends on what vampires drink from their victims - if it's blood, then, of course, they shouldn't regenerate from corpses. But if it's life force... then it's quite possible! After all, something must be making this skeleton move :) If it's magic, then why not drink that magic?
In short, since we don't understand necromancy very well (probably:)), it's hard to judge.
