If something is written in your profile, it doesn't matter how you understand it or what meaning you attribute to it. The GM can interpret it however they want, even completely opposite to your understanding, and there's nothing wrong with that. Trying to excuse yourself by claiming the opposite is just... well, it's a bit much.
